The Fin-CLARIAH Roadshow at the University of Oulu will bring together researchers and infrastructure specialists working on metadata, language resources, and research infrastructures for the humanities and social sciences. The event focuses particularly on metadata practices and interoperability in an era increasingly shaped by large language models, machine-readable corpora, and AI-assisted research workflows. Talks and roundtable discussions will address researcher profiles, CLARIN metadata standards, TurkuNLP tools, and broader metadata desiderata across the Finnish research infrastructure landscape.

What is FIN-CLARIAH?
FIN-CLARIAH is Finland’s digital research infrastructure for the social sciences and humanities. It connects ten universities, memory organizations and CSC to support the use, refinement, preservation and sharing of research data. FIN-CLARIAH consists of two complementary parts. FIN-CLARIN develops and provides language resources, services and tools for working with language data, including resources available through Kielipankki – the Language Bank of Finland. DARIAH-FI brings together researchers with expertise ranging from the humanities and social sciences to data science, developing versatile methods and tools for computational and data-intensive research.
